About the Journal

Mission and scope

To be a means of disseminating original works and presenting research and scientific results important to the areas of Administration and Production Engineering, through empirical, theoretical, and simulation studies.

Gestão & Produção is a publication aimed at an audience consisting mainly of:

  • Professors and researchers working in the areas of Administration and Production Engineering, focusing on the areas of Management; Organizational Strategy; Quality; Planning and Production Control; Logistics; Operational Research; and Work Organization;
  • Researchers in Production Engineering and Administration;
  • Professionals who make use of the knowledge and techniques of Production Engineering; Administration; Production Management; Project Management; Management Economics; and Organizational Theory.

Gestão & Produção publishes the following types of articles:

  1. Original Article: research that represents a technical-scientific advance;
  2. Case Study: articles that describe and analyze cases/situations of companies or present experiences from some real application;
  3. Literature Review: articles which present a complete review of a topic or subject; and
  4. General Review: articles which present a partial but useful review, thus making an effective contribution.

The submitted article must be original. Articles published briefly in Congresses can be published if they present an expansion of research and scientific results, and represent a significant contribution to their respective area.

The subject matter addressed in the submitted article must show adherence to the areas of Administration and/or Production Engineering. The best way to do this is to relate the work with other research previously published in established periodicals in the field of Production Engineering.
